A WINTER STORM WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR THE ENTIRE TRI-STATE

( Tri-State ) - The Greater Cincinnati area is under a Winter Storm WARNING issued by the National Weather Service through 1 AM Saturday morning. A mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain is now coming down making highways slick and closing schools.

Cincinnati has declared a snow parking emergency, meaning all parked cars must be moved off Snow Emergency routes by 1:30pm.

Level 1 Snow Emergencies (be careful driving)

The Village of Cleves has declared a Level 3 Snow Emergency. That means only emergency vehicles should be on the roads and there is no on-street parking. Non-emergency drivers could be ticketed or arrested.

Both the Cincinnati Zoo and Newport Aquarium have closed. Playhouse in the Park has cancelled all performances. Holiday Lights in Sharon Woods is not happening, either.
Hamilton's Santa Parade on Saturday is cancelled. 

Metro is rerouting some buses (as of 5pm): 
Route 1 Off Parkside Hill
Eastbound: Via Martin Drive, L on Eden Park Drive, L on Art Museum Drive, through on Ida, to U-turn at Celestial, back down Ida, through on Art Museum Drive, R on Eden Park Drive to regular route
Westbound: Via Park through Eden Park Drive, L on Art Museum Drive, through on Ida Street, U-turn at Celestial, back down Ida, through on Art Museum Drive, R on Eden Park Drive, R on Martin Drive to regular route

Route 17 Off Clifton Hill
Outbound: Via Vine, L on Calhoun to regular route
Inbound: Via McMillan, R on Vine to regular route

Route 19 Off Highland-Liberty Hill
Outbound: Via Liberty, L on Reading, bear right to Eden Park Dr. & Dorchester Ave., L on Dorchester, R on Highland to regular route
Inbound: Via Dorchester, R on Reading, R on Liberty to regular route. 

Route 24 Off Highland-Liberty Hill
Outbound: Via Liberty, L on Reading, bear right to Eden Park Dr. & Dorchester Ave., L on Dorchester, R on Highland to regular route

By the time the system moves through the Tri-State we will see up to eight inches of snow on the ground in some spots. The heaviest accumulations will be in southeast Indiana and northern Butler County.
