Judge Enters Not Guilty Plea

Judge Enters Not Guilty Plea

(Cincinnati) -- The arraignment took less than three minutes, and Tracie Hunter said nothing during that time.  Her attorneys entered a plea of not guilty to all nine charges, and she was released on her own recognizance.

The Juvenile Court Judge is accused of two counts of altering records, two counts of forgery, two counts of theft, two counts of having unlawful interest in a public contract, and one count of misuse of a credit card.

The courtroom was filled with Judge Hunter's supporters.  They say the charges are trumped up.  Bishop Bobby Hilton says Hunter is be persecuted because she's a Democrat, and because her seat on the bench was the subject of a lengthy battle.

Hilton says while Hunter has been sued by the Public Defender's Office for having 79 cases out of date, the other Juvenile Court Judge, John Williams, a Republican, had 108.
