Just after 11am, the National Weather Service issued a Flood WARNING for the Mill Creek in:
  • Hamilton County, OH
  • Butler County, OH
That WARNING is in effect until 11pm.

Senior Forecaster Jeff Sites with the National Weather Service says as of midday Saturday, the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport had 1.73 inches of rain, Lunken recorded 1.87, and the Butler County Airport had just under an inch.

Sites says rainfall totals were higher in Kentucky.  He says Alexandria received 2.08 inches, east of Owenton there was 2.59, and Crittenton had 2.78 inches, as of 3pm Saturday.

Sites says the ground is already saturated from rains over the last week, and combined with the short amount of time Saturday morning's rain fell, there was flooding.  In Reading, customers and employees at a bank called for help to escape rising waters.  Metro had to re-route their buses around flooded streets in the area.  Two people were rescued from a storage facility in Monroe.

Late Saturday afternoon, a tree fell on Dorchester, in Mount Auburn, and landed on a car that was driving by.  Neighbors reportedly helped get the driver out.

The City of Reading says their firework display that was planned for Saturday night has been rescheduled for Sunday night, at 10pm, at Koenig Park.

Kentucky Symphony Orchestra had planned to play in Devou Park, Saturday evening, but decided to perform indoors, at Notre Dame Academy, in Park Hills.  Cincinnati Pops has also moved their Saturday night performance indoors, at Kings High, in Deerfield Township.
