He flirted with a 17-year-old girl on Instagram, asking if he should rent a room for the two of them! Did we mention she was on vacation with her MOM?!
He has a new AOL web show coming out called "Making A Scene With James Franco" where he joins his friends in reenacting popular movie scenes... with a twist! In the sneak peek video, Napoleon Dynamite's Pedro Sanchez is placed in a scene from Pulp Fiction.
This lovely quote: "Quite Franc-ly, I think I am an asset to this world we live in. I know that if I didn't exist, there would be some truly upset people just waiting for me. A life without Franco is like a kitten without fur. That's what my reflection told me."
He's posted a plethora of half naked photos to his Instagram. He is the selfie king and even wrote about "The Meanings of the Selfie" in the New York Times! The article was published in December 2013.
"Pretty Little Liars" actor Keegan Allen posted a shirtless in-bed selfie of the two of them to Instagram. Did their bro-mance go a little too far?
The time he was the April Fool: "For April Fools Day, someone played a really cruel joke on me. They stole ALL my mirrors and I had to go hours without seeing myself. I mean, I couldn't even do my daily affirmations. What kind of world is this? I tell you, it's artists like myself that really suffer."

He won "Stoner of the Year" from High Times Magazine in 2008 but claims he doesn't smoke (unlike his character in Pineapple Express!)

Franco collaborated with The Museum of Invisible Art.
He also dressed up as Marylin Monroe at the 2011 Academy Awards when he hosted with Anne Hathaway. Clearly he's not afraid to put on a dress.
Franco milked a "gay" cow at the Hasty Pudding's Award Ceremony at Harvard in 2009.
He started speaking in third person on the set of 127 Hours.

James wore a bra while receiving Hasty Pudding's "Man of the Year" award at Harvard in 2009. Yup, nothing says "Man of the Year" quite like a nice bra...

This scathing reaction to a negative review of his role in "Of Mice and Men" on Broadway: "Sadly Ben Brantley and the NYT have embarrassed themselves," Franco said in an Instagram post that has since been removed. "Brantley is such a little b**** he should be working for Gawker.com instead of the paper of record. The theatre community hates him, and for good reason, he's an idiot."
On Facebook, he posted a shirtless photo next to Allen Ginsberg taking a selfie with the caption "SELFIE CONTEST WITH ALLEN GINSBERG."

Franco performed in a short film titled D*cknose in Paris. Yes, you read that right. He walked around Paris with a prosthetic penis on his face while screeching like an alley cat.
